95樓的夜景

話說感恩節週的星期一
那個PSYCHO CHARLENE仗著UIUC的一整個星期假期
就經過芝加哥來玩個一天
既然是第一次遊芝加哥...
就一定是從loop 走到 millennium park
再走到湖邊吹一下冷颼颼的風
然後在一路沿著michigan avenue往北走

途中順便去看了場nicholas cage 的 national treasure
天黑得很早的深秋
當然就有更多的理由上去john hancock observatory囉

可是呢..
我們很凶狠地直接殺上去signature room
凶狠地花了快120元
享用一頓和留學生活極不相稱的dinner

可是..我只能說在這裡...還真是一分錢一分貨哦
我在這裡吃到非常精緻的linguini with shrimp
不過是配蝦子和蘆筍清炒而已
但是可以分得出食材的新鮮原味和香科的調味
協調且層次分明
越是簡單的料理越是看得出廚師的功力呀

餘味猶存~~廢話...20來塊的麵怎樣都要說好吃呀^_^

哦...對了..
95樓的夜景...真不是蓋的..
看下去才會覺得chicago是個大都市
不然平常走在路上其實還真的沒什麼感覺
人都不知道躲到那裡去了^_^

終於 finally

well.....sleepless Wednesday....
it's my first time "get up" and "get out" so early ^_^

We went to Taylor street and had a wonderful breakfast at Demitasse.
They not only have great franchtoast, but also have great whole coffee beans.

so I can put my Starbucks beans away, and have some real great stuffs now.

so great that I finally got some alternative here ^_^

Sidetrack

Sidetrack is Chicago's premier Video Bar.
They play today's hottest hits and our timeless original clips and productions.

It's located in the Lakeview neighborhood that is one of Chicago's Gay Friendly community.

I think there are six areas in Sidetrack, the decorations are all different styles.
Main Bar, Glass Bar, Cherry Bar, Deck Bar, Cherry Lounge and Back Bar.

I like Cherry Lounge, comfortable sofas.

Wild Tuesday Part III

話說這個gay bar初體驗...
其實也沒什麼不一樣...
打量欣賞注目的眼光當然是少不了的

真要說的話,是那種自在的氛圍吧
就一個夜生活的場所來說...
二間店的感覺都是很清新"明亮"
不像咱們台北現在很多pub都越搞越頹靡...
可愛的Sarah 說在裡頭她就不用擔心隨時可能有人來approach
放肆的Justin 多喝了二杯manhatten就更隨性的展現他的魅力
一群人就這樣笑鬧到午夜還真是不錯

好笑的是Justin給我借酒澆愁,沒喝多少也就給我掛到不能開車
那敢情好...我二話不說就是把車拿來開囉
送完Julia 就直接開回宿舍啦..
但總也不能把他丟在車裡睡停車場吧
反正我得準備週三要上課的東西
就把床讓給這個小笨童睡囉
還順便給他做做心理建設

我的無睡眠狀態也就持續朝60小時前進

Wild Tuesday Part II

Even it was just Tuesday..
but Justin and Sarah and I have already planned for a real break.
Julia and Juan also came along with us.
We enjoyed our dinner at Joy's Noodles and Rice,
and then we hanged out in Sidetrack and Gentry.
It was so great...
the live music just made you feel relax, and gee....those guys really can sing!!!
These Gay Bars are really cool.

Wild Tuesday Part I

This week was a really wild week...
I've finished the critique of "Racist America" in only 12 hours,
but it was still very intense. I don't know what happened...
All I know was after struggling 2 weeks for this experience-detached issue,
suddenly I could find a way tying Marx and Feagin together, then I got it done on time.

Hey.... I forget to mention....
there was another take-home exam of statstics that was also due on Tuesday....^_^
the exam itself was not a big deal anyway..
something else was....HA HA

My lecture

Thank God....
Finally, I gave my very first lecture on Wendesday morning,
even I have no idea what I was talking about at that time.....

hope I would be better next time
